Now Available – PeerSync v9.6
Peer Software is pleased to announce the General Availability of PeerSync v9.6, the core replication technology in our PeerSync Migration solution. PeerSync v9.6 is immediately available for purchase, trial download, and as an upgrade for PeerSync Subscription customers as well as customers with current PeerSync Software Maintenance and Support agreements.
What's New in PeerSync?
PeerSync v9.6 adds new features, while improving performance and overall stability. Enhancements include:
- Introduced a new "Validation" capability. Functionality includes:
- The ability to run independent scans of source and target paths using our File System Analyzer tool, then compare the results to highlight differences.
- The ability to use full file checksums for comparisons.
- Statistics displayed within the PeerSync and Profiler interfaces, with details available in an Excel report.
- Support for running validations on-demand or as part of a specific job’s post-process.
- Improved file copy performance between SMB 3.0 NAS devices by adding support for Offloaded Data Transfers (ODX).
- Improved the handling of stubbed files, including the ones utilized by the Edge Caching feature of Peer Global File Service.
- Upgraded the FastSync engine with:
- Support for PeerSync’s "Advanced Backup" option.
- Several bug fixes.
- Several performance improvements.
- Better handling of log files.
- Added support for newer Windows/SMB attributes.
- Fixed an issue with the pre-sync report logic that could result in files being incorrectly removed from the target.
- Improved the overall stability and logging of PeerSync.
